It’s with a heavy heart that we share the news that Ben Hooks, our technical director, will be stepping away from his role starting next season.
Ben has been highly involved in development in all of our programs, from Little Kickers straight through to U18 and was instrumental in guiding the club through the pandemic. We value his efforts in implementing the PLSC vision and strengthening the club. He isn’t just our technical director, he is our friend and a friendly face when heading up to the pitch.
Ben would like to share the following the message with the PLSC members:
I have enjoyed being the Technical Director of PLSC for 7 years now, and after much consideration, have decided not to renew my contract with the club for the 2021-2022 season. This is a very difficult decision for me as this is a fantastic community-centered soccer club that has been a joy to work with. It is time for me to start a new challenge in my career path and spend more time with my family. I would like to say a huge thank you to both the PLSC executive board members who have supported my vision for the Club’s development and all the parent volunteers who have coached and managed teams. My children will continue to play soccer for PLSC and I will look forward to seeing you on the pitch as a fellow volunteer.
On behalf of the Prospect Lake Board of Directors, we thank you Ben and we look forward to running into you and your kids on the pitch this fall!
