Regular Fall Season Line-Up

Little Kickers House Program

U5-U6 Girls and Boys

Runs every Satuday from 11 am to noon at Glanford Park.

The focus is FUN. We want players to be active which in turn will help them ejoy the game.

Players are placed on co-ed teams consisting of 6-8 players with 3 volunteer coaches per team.

Season runs mid-September to March. Includes instruction from our technical team, Timbits team shirt, socks, season-end celebration with medals and treats.

Junior Program, Phase 1

U7-U10 Girls and Boys

Allows children to develop their movement ABCs— agility, balance, coordination, and speed—and learn the basics of the game while emphasizing fun, cooperation, and maximum time on the ball. Practices once a week.

Season runs mid-September to mid-March with practices once a week and home games every Saturday morning.

Although subject to change, Girls practice on on Mondays or Wednesdays and Boys on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Junior Program, Phase 2

U11-U12 Girls and Boys

This “golden age of learning,” when children become less self-centered and are more able to reflect on their actions and learn from mistakes, provides an optimal window for further development of skills. The focus is on learning by doing, building a larger repertoire of soccer movements and teaching the basic principles of play in a fun and challenging environment.

Season run mid-September to mid-March with practices twice a week and games on Saturday mornings, both home and away.

Although subject to change, girls practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and Boys on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Cup-Play

U14-U18

It’s time for Cup-Play! Assessments for team placements are held at the end of the season with final assessments in mid to late August. Please ensure that you register early to be made aware of assessment times.

Players now have the choice between Wave (Tier 1), Gold (Teir 3) and Silver (Teir 4). Wave is separate from PLSC.  Teir 3 and 4 are usually pooled teams with other clubs and training alternates between Layritz and their pooled teams field every week. Teir 2 is now run in the Spring.

U14-U15 Girls and Boys

The onset of the adolescent growth spurt for most kids during this stage is an ideal time for endurance training. Players are also introduced to concepts like mental preparation, goal setting, and coping with winning and losing while learning more advanced soccer skills, including position-specific techniques.

Season runs from September to mid-March with practices twice a week with home and away games on Saturdays. Continued cup play into the Spring and Summer for some teams.

Girls practice on Monday and Wednesdays and Boys on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with games on Saturdays. 

U16-U18 Girls and Boys

Players are now working to hone their soccer skills under a variety of competitive conditions in an 11 v 11 game format that mirrors adult play. Along with the continued refinement of advanced techniques, players work to develop their tactical awareness, discipline and mental toughness.

Season runs from September to mid-March with practices twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays for Girls and Tuesdays and Thursdays for Boys) and games on Saturdays or Sundays. Continued cup play into the Spring and Summer for some teams.

Tier 2

Tier 2 soccer now runs in the Spring following the end of the Tier 3 season. Stay tuned for try-outs.

Adult League

Prospect Lake Soccer Club currently has Division 2, 3 and 4 teams. If you’re new to our club, please contact our womans representative (womensrep@plsc.org) or mens representative (mensrep@plsc.org) to discuss options and tryouts for these teams.

Other programs

Prospect Lake Soccer Club runs other programs throughout the year to keep kids active and in soccer. Programs are always changing, depending on need and want. Watch for emails from us on everything soccer.

Pro-D Day and Summer Camps

U7-U14 Girls and Boys

Pro-D Day Camps are run on each Pro-D Day during the school year, with summer camps running for one full week in July and one in August.

All camps focus on the FUNdamentals of soccer. Each day will focus on a specific skill, whether it be passing, dribbling, shooting, ball control, player movement off the ball. There will be technical skill drills based on these areas as well as small-sided games that are focused on fine tuning these specific skill sets.  

Spring Skillz n’ Soccer

U5-U10 Girls and Boys

This is program is a hit for enthusiastic players to stay motivated after the regular season ends — it is open to all players in this age range.

Players will be assigned to balanced teams and coached by the technical team. Training involves warm-ups, footwork, drills, instructional small-sided games as well as free-play games.

Spring League Academy

U7-U14 Girls and Boys

Training sessions will focus on the development of fundamental skills in a fun and stimulating format. The physical curriculum will emphasize the ABC’S of movement: agility, balance, co-ordination and speed, and will coincide with the LTPD model. Technical instruction will be introduced through movement exercises and games that promote a feel for the ball. This training will be focused more on individual technical development of the player, and not the tactical aspect of a team.

Club Uniforms & Equipment:

Little Kickers are provided with a team t-shirt and socks; all other players are provided with a team jersey and socks and are provided Umbro shorts every 2nd fall season. This is organized with your coach or team manager.
